Workflow
Customize standard process templates or build your own.
IP-related business processes vary significantly from business to business and from industry to industry. IPM workflow was designed with
this in mind, delivering standard process templates (such as invention disclosure, patent application and IP valuation), while allowing
custom configuration from a web-based workflow workbench.
The core components of IPM workflow:
Workblocks are the objects needed during a process, such as UI elements, web services, or forms for invention disclosure & approvals.
Work Templates create the sequence and display of workblocks in a user process—for example, prior art search, trademark search, or IP valuation.
Panel Members are the roles involved in IP processing; a single user can take on
different roles depending on the related work process. Examples include: inventor, internal/external
legal, or IP decision maker.
Panel Groups consist of related
panel members, such as the IP approval team or R&D team.

From the
Workflow Workbench, you can configure and associate the work templates and panel groups, assigning thresholds and
dependencies based such things as IP type or country of origin.
